The facility is the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere with an annual module production capacity of 1.7 GW. The first delivery of Q.PEAK DUO L-G5 modules was recently executed after the Georgia factory commenced production on Feb. 1. A formal grand-opening ceremony will commence at a later date.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarpowerworldonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/20190225_North.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-84781\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solarpowerworldonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/20190225_North-500x375.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.solarpowerworldonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/20190225_North-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.solarpowerworldonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/20190225_North-1000x750.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.solarpowerworldonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/20190225_North-317x238.jpg 317w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a>The new facility will supply solar modules to serve customers and consumers in the United States. Products from the Georgia factory will be powered by Q CELLS\u2019 proprietary Q.ANTUM Technology. Q.ANTUM is a solar cell technology that offers various benefits, such as high module performance output and long-term reliability, thanks to anti-PID (potential induced degradation), anti-LID (light induced degradation) and anti-LeTID (light and elevated temperature induced degradation) performance.<\/p>\n<p>Hanwha <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarpowerworldonline.com\/2018\/09\/hanwha-q-cells-to-display-new-products-at-spi-including-what-will-be-made-in-georgia-next-year\/\">previously announced<\/a> that its\u00a0Q.PEAK DUO BLK-G6 module, a half-cell panel for residential applications, will also come out of the U.S. plant.<\/p>\n<p>Hanwha Q CELLS now has manufacturing facilities in the United States, South Korea, Malaysia and China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis announcement signifies our dedication to the U.S. market and the fulfillment of our promise to provide high-quality solar modules assembled in America, while leaving a positive impact on the economy of Georgia,\u201d said Hee Cheul (Charles) Kim, CEO of\u00a0Hanwha Q CELLS &amp; Advanced Materials.<\/p>\n<p><em>News item from Hanwha Q CELLS<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hanwha Q CELLS USA has announced the completion of its Dalton, Georgia, manufacturing facility.
