The application portal is now open for\u00a0Solar Power World’s<\/em> esteemed Top Solar Contractors List.\u00a0 Any solar PV developer, installer or subcontractor working in the United States can begin the application process now on Solar Power World\u2019s <\/em>website<\/a>. The deadline to apply to the 2023 Top Solar Contractors List is Friday, May 26, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>“The Solar Power World<\/em> team looks forward to Top Solar Contractors season every year,” said Kelly Pickerel,\u00a0Solar Power World<\/em> editor-in-chief. “With increased installation activity expected this year due to new credits included in the Inflation Reduction Act, the 2023 Top Solar Contractors List will be a great benchmark for which installation companies are dominating their markets.”<\/p>\n

New for 2023, the Top Solar Contractors List will list companies in the “community solar” market. As the market continues to grow and not quite fit in either the utility or commercial sectors, Solar Power World<\/em> will provide contractors working in this specific area the distinction they deserve.<\/p>\n

The Solar Power World<\/em> Top Solar Contractors List is the most recognized annual listing of solar contractors in the United States working in the utility, commercial, community and residential markets. Companies are grouped and listed by specific service, markets and states based on the previous year\u2019s installed kilowatt capacity. The list provides local solar installers with a free marketing opportunity to broadcast their installation accomplishments. Previous lists can be found at solarpowerworldonline.com\/top-solar-contractors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

All companies involved with the installation of solar projects across the United States are invited to join this exclusive list. Top Solar Contractors List applicants must choose a primary service (developer, EPC, installer, electrical subcontractor, installation subcontractor or sales partner) and a primary market (residential, commercial, community, utility or off-grid) on their applications. Service definitions and other list explanations can be found on the Top Solar Contractors FAQ page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Applicants must provide proof of installation numbers by submitting 2022 project details in an Excel document. Solar Power World\u00a0<\/em>editors will verify submitted data with state interconnection records and utility records.\u00a0(Note: Provided information will not be used for any other purpose or provided to others for solicitation. Submitted project data will be destroyed after installation numbers are verified.)\u00a0<\/em>Examples of what is required can be found\u00a0online<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to state, market and service lists,\u00a0Solar Power World<\/em>\u00a0features a\u00a0Top Solar + Storage Installers<\/a> sub-list, ranking companies based on the amount of energy storage (measured in kilowatt-hours) installed with solar projects. Applicants only have to include an additional column on their Excel document showing storage installations to be considered for this 2023 list. Solar Power World<\/em> will also award four individuals this year the designation of Top Solar Champion. Nominations are open to the public for the four awards: Top Solar Advocate, Top Solar Installer, Top Solar Designer and Top Solar Changemaker.
