Nevados Engineering<\/a>, a solar tracker company, has signed a strategic partnership and long-term agreement to supply its integrated platform of All-Terrain Trackers (ATT) and energy optimization software to Ampliform<\/a>, a U.S.-based solar project developer, operator and asset owner.<\/p>\n

Ampliform has committed to using Nevados’ ATTs across its near-term project pipeline of 700 MW, which will be built in 2023 to 2025, and its long-term project pipeline totaling 2 GW.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe selected Nevados because their all-terrain solar tracker eliminates the need for costly, risky and destructive mass grading for every site in our portfolio \u2013 and their team is a pleasure to work with,\u201d said Robert Stoever, senior VP, EPC of Ampliform. \u201cPartnering with Nevados will make our solar investments more profitable while preserving the natural vegetation and topography of the land. It\u2019s a win for our company and for the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

To kick off the partnership, Nevados will supply 48 MW of ATT for two Ampliform projects currently under construction in Pennsylvania. As is standard for all customers, Nevados will also provide performance optimization with its TRACE software and full-service project management, design optimization and engineering support for all Ampliform projects, regardless of size.<\/p>\n

Our integrated solar tracking platform will create new project opportunities for Ampliform by reducing their civil engineering and construction costs and improving system performance one row at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Nevados solar tracking platform is engineered to eliminate site grading in projects with uneven terrain, avoiding the permitting, construction and revegetation steps associated with it. This is possible because ATT uses proprietary bearings that can install on slopes with grades up to 37% and slope changes up to 26%.<\/p>\n

The bearings are designed with gaps to encourage bifacial module gains. ATT uses shortened piles and non-continuous torque tubes to shorten installations. The system uses top-clamp clips to self-align modules during installation. ATT is tested to withstand hurricane-force winds, and Nevados’ software uses row-specific tracking algorithms to improve energy yield.<\/p>\n
