Empower is a free event where attendees can earn up to four NABCEP CEU credits. Empower is for the entire solar community: design, operations and engineering; sales and marketing; senior management; solar installers and people curious to learn more about the rapidly growing solar industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the Inflation Reduction Act makes solar more accessible, our industry needs to prepare for the next wave of welcomed demand \u2014 SEIA estimates $600 billion in new solar investment over the next decade,\u201d said Chris Hopper, co-founder and CEO, Aurora Solar. \u201cAt Empower, we\u2019ll get inspired for what lies ahead with keynotes from Ari Matusiak and Bill Parsons. We\u2019ll also learn how we can continue to drive growth, understand the evolving solar value chain, and prepare for the digital transformation of our industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aurora also announced the event&#8217;s keynote speaker will be actor and environmentalist Edward Norton.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cEdward has a long history with the solar industry and as a conservationist,\u201d said Chris Hopper, co-founder and CEO of Aurora Solar. \u201cHis passion for and views on solar closely align with our mission to create a future of solar for all. We\u2019re thrilled to add Edward to Empower\u2019s roster of world-class speakers who are collectively advancing the solar industry and creating a more sustainable, resilient future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">During his keynote titled \u201cThe Importance of Solar for All,\u201d Norton will share his views on the role of solar in creating resiliency and social equality. He will also discuss the importance of distributed energy and how it has come to life through the MWCT\u2019s Chyulu Carbon Project, which he has been supporting for the past 20+ years. One of the organization&#8217;s newest projects focuses on building energy storage and solar infrastructure to power electric vehicles in remote parts of Kenya to help protect wildlife.
